A tragic incident unfolded at Jack Darling Park in Mississauga on Saturday evening as a woman lost her life after falling into Lake Ontario, according to Peel police. The authorities were alerted to the situation around 10:30 p.m. when it was reported that the woman was swept into the water. Const. Tyler Bell-Morena of Peel police confirmed that emergency response teams located the woman at approximately 11:15 p.m. following search and rescue operations.
The woman, an adult, was swiftly taken to a local hospital by Peel paramedics with severe, life-threatening injuries. Regrettably, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, as mentioned by Bell-Morena. At present, no further information is available about the deceased woman, as the police are still in the process of identifying and informing her next of kin.
