Fort Smith’s Fireweed Festival persevered following a recent tragic incident, reflecting the resilience of the community, according to one of the event organizers. Despite a shooting outside a local bar that resulted in three injuries and a lengthy lockdown period, the festival continued as planned. The suspect was apprehended by the RCMP the following day.
