Prince Harry and Meghan have landed in the United Kingdom as they embark on a new chapter in Britain following a six-year stint in the United States. The surprise return of the couple was documented by various U.K. media outlets, including the BBC and the Daily Telegraph, which reported the arrival of their plane at Birmingham International Airport at midday local time. Flight-tracking data indicated that a private charter flight from Van Nuys, California, touched down at the airport just before noon.
Their children, Prince Archie, aged 7, and Princess Lilibet, aged 5, have already been enrolled in British schools and are set to commence classes in September. The family intends to reside in a private, non-royal property outside London, although the exact location has not been disclosed.
Having relinquished their royal responsibilities over six years ago to pursue commercial ventures with Netflix and Spotify, Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the rest of the Royal Family deteriorated swiftly. Allegations of mistreatment towards Meghan’s mental well-being and accusations of racism and media control within the family were made by the couple.
Harry has recently shown interest in reconciliation to spend more time with his father, King Charles, who is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. However, tensions persist in his relationship with his brother, Prince William, the next in line to the throne.
