Jade Melbourne recorded 16 points and seven assists for Seattle, breaking a streak of 14 losses in their last 15 games. Awa Fam and Zia Cooke also made significant contributions with 10 points each.
The Toronto Tempo, missing their top scorers Marina Mabrey, Brittney Sykes, and Nyara Sabally due to injuries, saw rookie Kiki Rice shine with a season-high 24 points, supported by Isabelle Harrison’s 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Seattle seized control in the third quarter with an 11-4 run, leading 64-61, and extended their advantage in the fourth quarter with a 9-2 spurt to secure a 10-point lead.
