“Man Arrested for Impaired Driving After Vehicle Hits House”

The Windsor Police Service announced that a 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with impaired driving following a collision involving a vehicle and a residential property. The incident occurred on Armanda Street close to Malden Road around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the car positioned on the front lawn of the house, with its front bumper in contact with the front steps. The driver, who was still inside the vehicle, exhibited various signs of impairment such as bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, lack of balance, and drowsiness.

After conducting initial assessments, the officers apprehended the driver and transported him to the Windsor police headquarters for further evaluation. Subsequent breathalyzer testing indicated that his blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit. Consequently, the individual has been formally charged with impaired driving. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the crash, although the property sustained significant damage amounting to over $10,000.
