“California County Uncovers Secret Bunker with Arsenal”

Authorities in a northern California county made a startling discovery while investigating a suspected illegal marijuana farm. Shasta County officials uncovered a significant cache of dangerous firearms and weapons on the property, including a sawn-off shotgun, in addition to a hidden 100-foot tunnel and bunker. The bunker, equipped with amenities like ventilation, drainage, and power, was not only used for illegal activities but also featured a gym, armchair, and television. Among the items found was a Bennington flag, reminiscent of those seen during the January 6 riot.

The California Highway Patrol executed a search warrant at the Anderson residence of Michael Jay Kamfolt, a Make America Great Again (MAGA) activist, where the stash of weapons was discovered. The possession of three AR-15-style assault rifles, a sawn-off shotgun, and over 10,000 rounds of ammunition was described as a significant threat to public safety.

CHP Northern Division Chief John Pinoli emphasized the severity of the situation, stating that the operation extended beyond illegal drug cultivation. Kamfolt, a vocal conservative activist and Trump supporter, was arrested on various weapons-related charges, including the possession of stolen firearms and armor-penetrating ammunition. Despite the arrest, county supervisor Kevin Crye, a known ally of Kamfolt, expressed shock and support for his friend in a Facebook video.

The operation was initiated following a tip-off in December regarding the illicit marijuana grow on Kamfolt’s property. Further investigations led to the seizure of 13 firearms, four body armor vests, and 30 high-capacity magazines, two of which were reported stolen. Kamfolt, now released from custody, faces multiple misdemeanor and felony charges related to illegal firearms possession.
