The National Hockey League has confirmed the tragic passing of journalist Jessi Pierce and her three children due to a house fire in Minnesota. Condolences and tributes are pouring in for the reporter and her children, named Hudson, Cayden, and Avery.
In an official statement on Sunday, the NHL expressed deep sadness over the loss, stating, “The entire National Hockey League family extends heartfelt prayers and condolences to the Pierce family for the loss of Jessi Pierce and her three young children. Jessi was a dedicated member of the NHL.com team for ten years and had a great love for our sport. Her presence will be greatly missed.”
The Fire department responded to an emergency call in White Bear Lake early Saturday morning, where flames were visible from the house. Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered the bodies of an adult and three children. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
The Minnesota Wild organization also mourned the tragic loss, expressing, “The Minnesota Wild is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Jessi Pierce and her children. Jessi was known for her kindness, compassion, and dedication to promoting hockey. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.”
