“Murder-Suicide Confirmed in NB Deaths”

Two men in western New Brunswick were found dead in what was initially deemed suspicious, but has now been determined as a case of homicide and suicide, as confirmed by the RCMP. Authorities were alerted on August 12 about the incident in Knowlesville, Carleton County. The bodies of a 68-year-old individual and a 74-year-old individual were discovered within a residence on Knowlesville Road, located around 20 kilometers east of Florenceville. A firearm was located at the scene. While the identities of the deceased were not disclosed by the RCMP, it was mentioned that they were local residents who were acquainted with each other and resided together. Cpl. Hans Ouellette, a spokesperson for the RCMP, clarified that no external parties were involved in the tragic event. The deaths have been categorized as a homicide and suicide, although the specific methods of death remain undisclosed. The RCMP’s major crimes unit has wrapped up the investigation, determining that no criminal charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
