A veteran Calgary police officer, Const. Bradley Tepper, 53, has admitted to stealing over $21,000 worth of goods from Home Depot outlets in Calgary and its vicinity. Tepper, with 20 years of service, pleaded guilty to theft over $5,000 before Justice Kristin Fahlman following discussions between his defense attorney Cory Wilson and Edmonton prosecutor Euan Gilmour.
Tepper confessed to executing “double walk-out thefts” at five different stores between July 2024 and August 2025. This scheme involved purchasing a tool, placing it in his vehicle, and then promptly returning to the store to steal an identical item shortly after. If questioned by a salesperson, Tepper would present the receipt from the legitimate purchase.
Upon returning, often to a different Home Depot branch, Tepper would relinquish the first tool while retaining the second. The investigation, initiated in August 2025 after reports of “fraudulent activity and multiple thefts,” led to the charges against Tepper. A pre-sentence report has been requested for an upcoming sentencing hearing later this year.
As a result of the charges, Tepper is currently on unpaid suspension as confirmed by the Calgary Police Service.
