“Tragic Murder-Suicide Plot by 12-Year-Old in Texas”

A tragic incident unfolded in Poolville, Texas, where a 12-year-old girl carried out a heinous murder-suicide plot. Emma Brown shot her father, Daniel Brown, in the abdomen on September 20, 2022, but he survived the attack. Unfortunately, Emma fatally shot herself in the head two days later.

A disturbing photo surfaced showing Emma and her father posing with firearms and ammunition on a table. This unsettling image preceded the violent turn of events where Emma intended to kill her entire family and pets.

Emma had conspired with another 12-year-old girl from Lufkin, Texas, to carry out the horrific acts. The pair had planned to flee to Georgia together. Authorities confirmed that the second girl, who remains unidentified, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Following the incident, law enforcement responded to a call reporting the shootings. Emma was found with a gunshot wound to the head, while her father was discovered with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Investigations revealed that Emma had meticulously planned the murders, involving communication with the other girl from Lufkin who had similar intentions but did not follow through.

After shooting her father, Emma walked a short distance from their home before taking her own life. Emergency responders at the scene recounted the tragic events, with the family subsequently fortifying their residence with a gate and a ‘No Trespassing’ sign.

The autopsy conducted by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Emma’s death was a suicide by gunshot. Her father, on the other hand, survived and is expected to recover from his injuries.

Reflecting on the incident, Jessica Pebsworth, Director for Lufkin, emphasized the importance of parents being aware of their children’s social circles, both in-person and online, to prevent such tragedies in the future.
