“Two Arrested in BC Taxi Murder Conspiracy”

Two individuals have been apprehended and formally accused by homicide investigators in British Columbia in connection with the gang-related murder of a man inside a taxi in Langley last year. The suspects, identified as 35-year-old Jared Douglas Polischuk and 29-year-old Luis Manuel Baez, were taken into custody on Friday and are facing a joint charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

The charges arise from an incident in September 2025 when 24-year-old Taran Pandher was assaulted while traveling in a taxi as a passenger. Tragically, Pandher succumbed to his injuries at the scene near 200 Street and 53 Avenue. Following the shooting, authorities responded to a car blaze in Surrey later that same evening, which they believe was linked to the earlier attack.

Law enforcement officials have disclosed that the investigation remains ongoing as they suspect additional individuals were involved in the targeted shooting, which is tied to the ongoing gang conflict in British Columbia. Due to the case being sub judice, no further details are being divulged by the authorities at this time.
