Tragic Discovery: Missing Boy’s Body Found in Clyde River

Search teams have located the body of a young boy who had been missing in Clyde River for more than a week, as confirmed by the town’s mayor. The incident occurred on August 6 when two adolescents were floating on separate makeshift rafts and were carried by the current further out into the bay. Tragically, one of the youths fell from his raft into the water and did not resurface. It was noted that neither of them had been wearing a life jacket, as per a previous RCMP statement.

Mayor Liemikie Palluq of Clyde River disclosed on Friday morning that the boy’s body was discovered around 5 p.m. the previous evening. The body was found on the opposite side of the bay from where the incident occurred. Despite requests from CBC for additional details, the RCMP has not yet provided any further information.
