A teenager in Arizona has been arrested and charged with murder and burglary after allegedly killing his 57-year-old neighbor, David Jimenez. Xzavion Johnson is accused of shooting Jimenez at his home, leaving the body in the garden for two weeks before being discovered by police.
Johnson’s mother alerted authorities when she noticed a suspicious package addressed to her son on Jimenez’s porch. She also reported a foul odor coming from the garden. Upon investigation, police found Jimenez’s decomposed body in the yard and encountered Johnson inside the house.
Johnson barricaded himself inside for a period before surrendering to authorities. He confessed to police that he had gone to Jimenez’s home with the intention of robbing him and had brought a stolen gun with him. Johnson claimed he found an open gate, entered the property, and fatally shot Jimenez.
In a separate incident, a three-year-old boy was tragically killed by his grandmother’s American Bulldog after entering the dog’s enclosure. The grandmother tried to intervene, sustaining injuries herself. Both were rushed to the hospital, but sadly, the boy succumbed to his injuries. The dog was euthanized, and authorities confirmed no ongoing safety risks to the community following the incident.
