This move puts to rest any speculation that the 34-year-old might take a break following her recent Olympic gold medal win with the United States. Coyne Schofield, a key figure in the Frost’s leadership core, has been instrumental since the team’s back-to-back Walter Cup triumphs in 2024 and ’25, alongside alternate captains Lee Stecklein and Kelly Pannek.
Expressing her excitement for the upcoming seasons, Coyne Schofield emphasized her commitment to reclaiming the Walter Cup for Minnesota. Hailing from Chicago, she boasts an impressive resume as a four-time Olympian and two-time gold medalist, playing a pivotal role in the establishment of the PWHL back in 2023. Despite missing some games due to injury last season, Coyne Schofield’s scoring prowess has been evident, with 63 points (30 goals, 33 assists) in her 77-game PWHL career, ranking her third in the league.
