Danica Moore has been separated from her 14-year-old daughter Peyton Flett since the evening of June 14 without any contact. According to Moore, Flett left with her grandmother that night to stay with her aunts. The most recent sighting of Flett was recorded in Prince Albert around June 16 to 17, specifically near John Diefenbaker School and at the intersection of Marquis Road and Central Avenue. During this time, she was dressed in a grey/red hoodie, blue Christmas-themed pajama pants, and carried a black fanny pack. Flett, an Indigenous teenager, stands at approximately five-foot-four, weighing around 115 pounds, with black/reddish hair and brown eyes.
Moore expressed her longing for Flett to return home, assuring her that the family eagerly awaits her safe return. She conveyed a message to Flett, encouraging her not to fear coming home, emphasizing that she is always loved and will not face any trouble upon returning. Authorities urge anyone with relevant information about Flett’s disappearance or whereabouts to come forward, emphasizing the importance of sharing even seemingly insignificant details to aid in locating her.
The major crimes unit is actively involved in investigating Flett’s disappearance due to her young age, the time passed since her disappearance, and the circumstances surrounding it. Inspector Lisa Simonson emphasized the significance of each detail in establishing Flett’s movements and facilitating her safe return.
Moore has been actively searching for her daughter with the help of volunteers, updating her efforts on social media to engage more individuals in the search. She described Flett as a kind-hearted individual who enjoys drawing and spending time with her siblings. Moore’s heartfelt plea to her daughter is for her to return home to reunite the family, especially with Flett’s 15th birthday approaching on August 19. She expressed the family’s desire for Flett to be present for her birthday celebration, highlighting the emptiness felt in her absence and the distress the family is enduring.
