The current mayor of Windsor has declared his intention to run for a fourth consecutive term. Drew Dilkens informed the press on Thursday that he plans to submit his candidacy before the 2 p.m. deadline on Friday. Initially elected as Windsor mayor in 2014, Dilkens previously served as Ward 1 councillor for two terms. At present, there are eight additional contenders for the position of Windsor mayor, including Fred Francis, the current Ward 1 councillor. The municipal election is scheduled for October 26.
