“Fatal Hit-and-Run: Pedestrian Succumbs to Injuries”

A pedestrian who was involved in a suspected hit-and-run incident near Sackville earlier this month has succumbed to his injuries, according to the RCMP. The individual, a 51-year-old man from Shediac, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition on August 6 following a reported hit-and-run incident along Route 2 near the Walker Road intersection around 5 a.m. The victim was identified as wearing dark clothing, including a black hoodie, and carrying two bags at the time of the incident, as per the RCMP’s latest update confirming his passing.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have been traveling on Route 2 between Amherst, N.S., and Sackville from 6 p.m. on August 5 to 5 a.m. on August 6 and has pertinent information to reach out to the New Brunswick RCMP. The RCMP mentioned that the pedestrian was discovered in a construction zone, although there was no ongoing construction work at the location during the incident.
