EE has unveiled new SIM plans designed to address a prevalent issue among consumers – running out of data while on the go due to increased file downloads and streaming activities. The new pay-as-you-go SIMs from EE come with a complimentary feature called “Data Parachute,” which automatically grants users an extra 1GB of data if they unexpectedly deplete their allowance.
According to EE, the “Data Parachute” feature aims to ensure customers remain connected, whether for communication purposes or navigation assistance, by providing a temporary data boost until they can recharge their plan. These new plans, starting at £10 per month, offer additional perks such as data rollover, which carries over unused data to the next month, and free data boosts to supplement the existing data allotment.
In addition, EE’s pay-as-you-go customers can access the 5G network, delivering enhanced performance and faster speeds. The pricing for the new plans is as follows:
– £10 for 20GB
– £15 for 75GB
– £20 for 150GB
– £30 for 200GB
– £35 for Unlimited
While EE’s Data Parachute sets it apart, competitors like SMARTY and Giffgaff also offer competitive deals. SMARTY currently provides 80GB for £8 per month or Unlimited data for £20, while Giffgaff offers 75GB for £10 and 60GB for £13 monthly.
Consumers are advised to explore various options and select plans based on their actual data needs to avoid unnecessary costs.
