“Devon’s Crealy Theme Park to Debut Two Thrilling New Rides in 2026”

A renowned theme park in Devon plans to enhance its array of family-friendly offerings in 2026 by introducing two new rides during the spring and summer seasons.

Crealy, situated in Clyst St Mary, Exeter, was honored with accolades for Best Theme Park for Families (Small) and Best Theme Park for Toddlers (Small) for its Sooty Land attraction at the 2025 UK Theme Park Awards.

The upcoming attractions will complement the current selection of over 60 rides and experiences at Crealy, including popular rides like the Tidal Wave log flume and the unique Roman-themed Maximus Rollercoaster.

In the spring, Pirates’ Plummet will be unveiled at the park, set to be the highest drop tower adventure in the South West. Previously known as Magma at Paultons Park in Hampshire, this ride has been revamped with a pirate theme and will offer thrills to guests taller than 110cm. Individuals over 130cm can ride it unaccompanied, as reported by Devon Live.

During the summer, the park will introduce Rotor, touted as the region’s first inverted attraction. This high-speed ride will spin and flip passengers, creating a gravity-defying experience.

Limited information has been released about Rotor, but preliminary images show riders securely fastened in their seats. Crealy’s theme park has been welcoming visitors since the late 1980s and continues to be a beloved destination for families.

In a recent announcement, the park expressed its desire to “broaden its appeal to older children while maintaining unforgettable experiences for all age groups.”

In recent years, the park has introduced various additions. Notably, in 2022, it launched Sooty Land, a themed area dedicated to the popular children’s program Sooty, featuring live shows and themed rides.

Established accommodations, including lodges, glamping options, and camping spots, were added in 2012, allowing families to enjoy stay-and-play packages with unlimited park access.

Staying at Crealy provides easy access to attractions in Exeter, such as the historic Exeter Cathedral and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. Nearby, the coastal town of Exmouth offers a picturesque sandy beach and attractions like the World of Country Life and Exmouth Museum, showcasing the area’s rich history.
