Helen George, known for her role in the popular BBC series “Call the Midwife,” has navigated through various romantic relationships, including a divorce and a subsequent romance with a divorced father of two.
The Birmingham-born actress has portrayed the character of Trixie Franklin on the show for 14 years, showcasing her acting talent alongside a group of skilled actors depicting midwives in East End London during the late 1950s and 1960s.
Previously married to actor Oliver Boot, whom she met on the set of BBC’s “Hotel Babylon,” Helen tied the knot in 2011 but announced their separation in 2015, just before her appearance on “Strictly Come Dancing.”
Following her split from Oliver, Helen began a relationship with Jack Ashton, her co-star on “Call The Midwife.” Their romance blossomed while filming the 2016 Christmas Special in South Africa, leading to the birth of their two daughters, Wren in 2017 and Lark in 2021.
Despite their enduring love, Helen and Jack recently parted ways after seven years together. Helen, now in a relationship with Dan Innes, found solace after connecting with him on the dating platform Raya. Dan, a divorced father of two with a background in real estate, shares a similar past with Helen, having been previously married and fathering two children.
Expressing her happiness in the new relationship, Helen emphasized the joy of being with someone outside the entertainment industry. The couple’s journey unfolds as they navigate through life together, finding solace in their shared experiences.
“Call the Midwife” continues to captivate audiences every Sunday on BBC One, offering a captivating glimpse into the world of midwifery and the challenges faced during that era. For more entertainment news and updates, visit the new “Everything Gossip” website.
