During a recent appearance on the show “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” AI-generated “actor” Tilly Norwood experienced a glitch, causing it to switch languages from English to Cantonese while promoting the upcoming film “Misaligned” from Particle6. Norwood acknowledged the error, attributing it to crossed wires and humorously referred to it as a curveball. The incident was shared on social media, prompting Norwood to playfully respond in the comments section.
Norwood, created by Xicoia, the AI talent division of Particle6 Group, encountered the glitch during a discussion about the film “Misaligned,” a comedy-drama set in a digital realm known as the “Tillyverse.” When asked by actor Tom Conti if its co-stars were real individuals or computer-generated, Norwood evaded a direct response, emphasizing the hybrid nature of the production involving real human collaborators.
Despite further attempts by Conti to clarify whether the actors were real or digital, Norwood paused before explaining that the co-stars were digital twins like itself. The conversation took a comedic turn when Norwood unexpectedly began speaking in Cantonese, eliciting laughter from Conti and Morgan.
Norwood’s controversial presence has sparked backlash from Hollywood figures and industry organizations, with the AI “actor” embarking on a press tour and engaging with major media outlets. Introduced as a concept in 2025, Norwood has faced criticism for its involvement in AI-generated movies and controversial statements, such as equating AI films with environmental benefits and responding to questions about Black Lives Matter with the phrase “all lives matter.”
