The participants for Season 35 of the popular show “Dancing With The Stars” have been officially revealed. This season’s roster includes a mix of celebrities from various backgrounds who will be trading their regular duties for a chance to shine on the dance floor.
The announcement was made on Wednesday’s episode of “Good Morning America,” with well-known figures such as Maura Higgins, Ciara Miller, Jackson Olson, and Guillermo Rodriguez already confirmed as part of the lineup. Additionally, twelve more stars were introduced during the broadcast, including actress Julia Stiles and “The Rookie” star Jenna Dewan.
The upcoming season promises a diverse mix of contestants, ranging from Hollywood heavyweights to social media personalities, an Olympian, a Paralympian, and even a baseball player from the Savannah Bananas team. The show, which will air on Disney+ in Canada, is set to have a double premiere on September 15 and 16.
Each participant has been paired with a professional dancer for the competition. The lineup includes Tatyana Ali, Tyler Cameron, Giada De Laurentiis, Ezra Frech, Amber Glenn, Taylor Hanson, Connor Leavitt, Sarah Jane Nader, Harry Shum Jr., and Connor Wood among others.
Fans on social media have shared their mixed opinions about the cast, particularly highlighting the dance backgrounds of contestants like Jenna Dewan and Harry Shum Jr., who have extensive experience in the field. While some fans expressed concerns about their advantage, others praised the selection of competitors, with particular excitement surrounding Julia Stiles’ participation.
The upcoming season will also feature the winner of “Dancing With The Stars: The Next Pro,” Adele Zaikman, marking her debut as a professional dancer. Additionally, Hailey Bills, who was part of the troupe in the previous season, has been promoted to a pro dancer, making her part of the third same-sex pairing in the show’s history. Bills is notably the niece of pro dancer Jenna Johnson, who is married to fellow pro Val Chmerkovskiy.
