“Trespassing Youths Raise Alarm at Pools By Angelo”

Four youths trespassed into the outdoor display pool at Pools By Angelo, raising concerns for the Windsor business owners. Angelo Mariani Jr., the manager and co-owner, emphasized community safety awareness following the incident.

A social media post by the business sparked public discussions when Mariani Jr. shared a security camera footage showing four young males engaging in unauthorized activities on the business premises during the early hours of August 19. The incident took place at Pools By Angelo on Jefferson Boulevard, where a small in-ground pool, visible from the road, is showcased for display purposes.

According to Mariani Jr., the trespassers breached the property by scaling a fence around 4:30 a.m. Besides splashing in the pool and playing around the area, they tampered with equipment and attempted to gain access to the building, leaving behind alcohol containers and vaping devices. The display pool, featuring waterfalls and concrete structures, poses potential hazards to unsuspecting individuals, especially if they are under the influence of substances.

Mariani Jr. expressed relief that no injuries occurred, highlighting the company’s responsibility as the custodian of the display pool. Pools By Angelo refrained from involving law enforcement as of Friday afternoon, with Mariani Jr. noting that the primary message to the trespassers, if identified, is to respect the property.

Addressing concerns of overreaction, Mariani Jr. emphasized the importance of parental awareness, stating that the incident involved young individuals. The Windsor Police Service confirmed that no report was filed with them by either the business or an alarm company regarding the trespassing incident.
