A collision on Oxford Street between Clarke and Industrial Roads in east London on Wednesday night has left one person hospitalized in critical condition. The incident, involving a vehicle and a motorcycle, occurred around 5:30 p.m., according to the London Police Service (LPS). LPS confirmed that two individuals were taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash and the events leading up to it are currently being investigated by the LPS Road Safety Section. Oxford Street in the affected area was closed as authorities conducted their investigation, but was reopened to traffic in both directions at 11 p.m. that same evening.
