A child sustained critical injuries in a car-motorcycle collision on Sunday in West Chezzetcook, N.S., leading to an airlift to the hospital. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 207 and Bellefontaine Road at 4:30 p.m., as per an RCMP news release.
The child was a passenger on the motorcycle, operated by a 43-year-old man from Grand Desert, N.S. The collision transpired when the motorcycle, traveling south on Highway 207, was struck by a car making a left turn onto Highway 207 from Bellefontaine Road.
The car driver, a 28-year-old man from West Chezzetcook, received treatment from paramedics at the scene and was subsequently discharged. The motorcycle driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
