Jodie Marsh recently revealed the devastating aftermath of a fire that ravaged her home at Fripps Farm in Essex. The fire, triggered by an electrical device, broke out on the first floor around 5pm on a Saturday. The blaze, which tragically claimed the lives of two animals, left Jodie heartbroken.
Taking to social media, the 47-year-old showcased the extent of the damage caused by the fire. In a poignant Instagram Stories video, a distraught Jodie showed the ruined rooms, including a bathroom and a bedroom, with walls charred, floorboards exposed, and the ceiling collapsed. Overwhelmed with emotion, she shared how she, along with her friends, managed to rescue numerous animals from the blazing house, except for two babies.
Expressing her gratitude for the outpouring of support from friends and followers, Jodie marveled at the swift response of people who dropped everything to assist her in the crisis. Despite the devastation, she vowed to persevere and emphasized that the loss of the two baby marmosets was the most heartbreaking aspect for her.
The Essex County Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that firefighters swiftly responded to the fire at Lindsell, Dunmow, and managed to contain the blaze originating in the upstairs bedroom. The cause was determined to be accidental, attributed to a faulty electrical appliance.
Notably, the farm, home to Jodie and her rescued animals, boasts a diverse array of creatures, including emus, llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, deer, peacocks, chickens, geese, ducks, marmosets, foxes, meerkats, skunks, wolf-dogs, and snakes.
Despite the challenges ahead, Jodie expressed her determination to overcome the ordeal and the overwhelming support she received, highlighting the unwavering bond she shares with her beloved animals.
