Traffic has resumed on a stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway on the west coast of Newfoundland following a crash that had closed both lanes earlier in the day. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirmed the reopening of the highway in an announcement at around 8 p.m., after initially reporting the closure at 1:30 p.m.
Motorists were advised to anticipate potential delays and to reduce speed when approaching the area, located approximately six kilometers west of the Flat Bay Junction. This junction is situated near Flat Bay community and Route 403 in the Bay St. George region.
