A teacher who was described as “obsessed” has confessed to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy, reportedly exchanging approximately 25,000 text messages with him.
Allison Havemann-Niedrach, a 45-year-old mother of two from New Jersey, has entered a plea of guilty to a charge of aggravated sexual assault, which could result in a sentence of up to 12 years in prison.
According to a police investigation, the teacher’s illicit relationship with the teenager began in January 2024 and continued until her arrest in June of the same year. Witness accounts from other staff members indicated that Havemann-Niedrach frequently had lunch with the student and was seen behaving inappropriately by rubbing the boy’s back and neck in a flirtatious manner.
The student’s sister also witnessed him sitting in the teacher’s car before he disclosed the sexual relationship to his mother. Subsequent police investigation revealed a trove of approximately 25,000 text messages, including photos and videos, exchanged between the teacher and the student on his phone.
Prosecutors stated that the former teacher, whose LinkedIn profile describes her as a dedicated and sincere educator, was fixated on her alleged victim. The victim reported to the police that their encounters took place at the teacher’s residence and various hotels.
The sentencing is scheduled for May 7, 2026, with the prosecution seeking a 12-year prison term and the revocation of her teaching license.
