Prince Andrew’s potential eviction from Royal Lodge seemed imminent today as moving trucks arrived at the property, coinciding with renovations at a new residence he is reportedly relocating to. Removal vans were spotted at the 30-room mansion in Windsor while workmen were seen at a property in Sandringham.
Reports suggest that Andrew’s transition from Windsor to the King’s private estate in Norfolk could happen by the end of the month. Following recent disclosures regarding his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew had to surrender the lease of his current mansion. Criticism arose over the nominal rent he was paying for the spacious property.
The plan is for him to relocate to the King’s private Sandringham estate, with preparations underway at Marsh Farm, a property being refurbished for his occupancy.
Today, workers from Sky were seen at Marsh Farm installing what appears to be Sky Broadband in readiness for Andrew’s move. A Sky VIP Team member was observed climbing a ladder to inspect the property, with Sky subscription options ranging from £15 to £35 per month.
The new property is situated approximately seven miles from the main Sandringham House, with a no-fly zone extension covering the royal estate and adjacent areas.
While the smaller residence includes a main house, significant renovations are required for two reception rooms and the kitchen. Buckingham Palace has not confirmed if this will become Andrew’s new abode.
In late October, the King formally removed Andrew’s HRH style, prince title, and dukedom from the Peerage Roll due to his “serious lapses” in judgment. This decision followed the release of a posthumous memoir by Andrew’s accuser, Virginia Giuffre, and the disclosure of documents from Epstein’s estate.
Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson, Andrew’s ex-wife, will not be joining him at the new residence, as they have been living separately at Royal Lodge despite their divorce almost three decades ago.
Ferguson’s future living arrangements post-Royal Lodge departure remain uncertain, with rumors suggesting she may seek housing in Windsor or closer to their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
According to a friend quoted in The Sun, Andrew is expediting his move to start anew by the end of the month or before his birthday in February, signaling a separation in living arrangements with Sarah after nearly 20 years of cohabitation.
