Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup Failures

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by neglecting her responsibilities to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors, who put in nearly $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a company launched in 2021 to enhance users’ “mental fitness,” claim in a lawsuit filed in a federal court in Delaware that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, was supposed to take an active role in the company’s marketing efforts. They contend that Gomez and other executives of the company failed to fulfill their commitments, such as the development of a mobile app.

According to the lawsuit, Gomez allegedly signed a contract committing to certain obligations but did not follow through. The investors argue that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to meet fundamental responsibilities, including timely payments to employees and vendors. A spokesperson for Gomez did not respond immediately to requests for comments.

The lawsuit asserts that the investors were unaware of the company’s issues until they were reported in an online news article in September 2025. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal costs incurred.
