“Infamous Triple Homicide Perpetrator Denied Parole Again”

A man who committed a brutal act of violence during a camping trip in the 1980s in British Columbia has been denied parole once again. David Ennis, formerly known as David Shearing, was responsible for the deaths of three generations of a family from Kelowna, B.C. The tragic incident occurred at Wells Gray Park near Clearwater in 1982.

The Parole Board of Canada recently rejected Ennis’s parole request, citing concerns about his potential for violent or sexual reoffending that would be difficult to manage if he were released. The decision highlighted Ennis’s disturbing actions, including stalking his victims at the campsite before fatally shooting four adults and subjecting two children to unimaginable horrors.

After keeping the young girls alive for days, Ennis eventually shot them as well and set fire to the vehicle where he left the bodies. The discovery was made by a berry picker. Ennis, who received a life sentence with no parole eligibility for 25 years, has been denied parole multiple times, with the latest denial emphasizing the heinous nature of his crimes and his disturbing motivations.

The parole board condemned Ennis’s callous and vicious actions, emphasizing that he orchestrated the killings to fulfill his depraved sexual fantasies. Previous parole requests in 2008, 2012, and 2021 were also rejected, underscoring the severity of his crimes and the ongoing risk he poses to society.
