Global Solidarity: Worldwide Support for Iranian Protesters Against Khamenei

New images have captured global support for Iranian protesters as they rally against the oppressive regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Supreme Leader has violently suppressed dissent in Iran, with reports suggesting that as many as 2,500 individuals may have lost their lives during anti-government demonstrations over economic hardships. Demonstrators in Iran have been joined by allies from various countries who are calling for an end to the brutality.

Photographs depict protesters in the UK, South Korea, Israel, Germany, Turkey, and other nations standing in solidarity with the Iranian people in their quest for freedom from the repressive theocratic rule. Some images show individuals burning effigies of the Ayatollah and donning the colors of Iran’s pre-revolution “Lion and Sun” flag, a symbol of Persian heritage. Additionally, the flag has been raised alongside portraits of Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince of Iran and son of the last Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who is being considered as a potential replacement for the current regime.

Protests in various parts of the world have exhibited support for Reza Pahlavi, with demonstrators in Romania, Germany, Paris, and Switzerland displaying images of the prince or denouncing the current leadership. Shiite Muslims in Pakistan have voiced their opposition to the Iranian government, while residents in Chile staged protests outside the Iranian embassy in Santiago. In Washington, protesters laid out a large Persian flag near the White House, and similar demonstrations have taken place in Seoul outside the Iranian Embassy. Londoners have also gathered outside the Houses of Parliament to show solidarity with the Iranian protesters.
