A renowned dancer and choreographer from the Brazilian version of Dancing With The Stars, Léo Blanco, has tragically passed away at 47 in his residence in Curitiba. The exact cause of his sudden death remains undisclosed.
Léo, who hailed from Cascavel in southern Brazil, participated in the show Dança dos Famosos, equivalent to Strictly Come Dancing. Mariana Xavier, an actress who partnered with Léo in 2017, expressed her heartfelt sentiments on social media, praising him as not only her dance instructor but also a remarkable collaborator in realizing shared dreams.
Having nurtured his passion for dance from a young age and also pursuing a career as a personal trainer, Léo’s dance journey commenced during his university years where he led two dance groups. His breakthrough came with his involvement in Dança dos Famosos.
Apart from Mariana, Léo also danced with singer Luisa Sonza, achieving the ninth position before partnering with Lucy Ramos in 2020, contributing to her victory. Social media flooded with tributes from fans and friends reminiscing about his kindness and warm personality.
