“Amazon Unveils Fire TV Stick HD: Slimmer Design, Enhanced Performance”

Amazon is set to introduce a new streaming device with enhanced capabilities that surpass existing models. The latest addition to the tech giant’s lineup, the Fire TV Stick HD, will be priced at £39.99 upon its release later this month. Despite its lower price point, the new device boasts several improvements, including a slimmer and more stylish design compared to its predecessor.

The Fire TV Stick HD is now 30% narrower, making it easier to fit behind TVs and more portable for users on the go. One of its key features is the ability to draw power directly from the TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.

According to Amazon, “The new Fire TV Stick HD is our slimmest streaming device – both smaller in volume and width than previous models – and optimized for Direct Power through the TV’s USB port, so it fits more neatly behind a TV without requiring a separate power adapter.”

Similar to other Fire TV Sticks, the device provides instant access to popular streaming services such as Disney+, Apple TV, Prime Video, iPlayer, ITVX, and Netflix. It also comes with a user-friendly remote featuring Alexa voice search and quick launch buttons for apps.

While the Fire TV Stick HD does not support 4K quality video, it offers full HD viewing, which should suffice for most households. Amazon touts noticeable speed enhancements with this new model, claiming it is over 30% faster on average than the previous generation HD stick, resulting in quicker startup times and app loading.

Additionally, the device comes equipped with the latest Fire operating system, offering a more streamlined user experience, improved recommendations, and simplified content discovery.

The Fire TV Stick HD is scheduled to hit stores on April 29th with a price tag of £39.99.
