“Dolly Parton Relative in Legal Battle Over Estate”

Bryan Seaver, a relative of Dolly Parton and her long-time security chief, is currently involved in a public legal dispute with the organization overseeing her assets, primarily centered around financial matters.

Forbes estimated Dolly Parton’s net worth at $450 million US following her passing due to cancer on August 25. Despite not having children, she had a sizable family, including 11 siblings, at least 12 nieces and nephews, and even great-nieces and nephews.

She’s Alive, LLC, managed by her long-time associate Danny Nozell, was established to oversee and safeguard Dolly Parton’s estate. Recently, the estate took legal action, including a lawsuit and restraining order against Seaver, who was chosen by Parton to announce her passing.

Seaver was dismissed from his security role at Dolly Parton’s properties, such as Dollywood, and instructed to vacate immediately. The termination letter, obtained by TMZ, indicated that Seaver’s removal was necessary for the overall protection of the Trust and beneficiaries, without terminating his personal stake in the estate.

Additionally, She’s Alive filed a lawsuit and a temporary restraining order against Seaver, with court documents alleging that he claimed to be an international arms dealer and used his military background to intimidate others for financial gain. Seaver denied these claims, stating that the interactions were emotional conversations during a time of grief.

A Tennessee judge ruled on September 23 that Seaver and his company posed a continuous disruption and threat to She’s Alive. Despite these legal clashes, Parton’s sister Freida clarified on Facebook that there is no internal family conflict over Dolly’s estate, emphasizing their love and support for Seaver and each other.

Seaver requested a postponement of a scheduled court hearing on October 9, citing difficulties in finding legal representation due to conflicts of interest with attorneys associated with Pinnacle Bank. Despite She’s Alive’s objections, Seaver’s hearing is set for October 20, and his legal representation remains uncertain.
