Taylor Ruck Shines with Silver at Pan Pacs

Canadian swimmer Taylor Ruck had an impressive performance at the Pan Pacific championships this week. The 26-year-old athlete, hailing from Kelowna, British Columbia, secured a silver medal in the women’s 100-meter butterfly event held in Irvine, California. Ruck achieved a personal best time of 56.71 seconds, coming in second behind American swimmer Gretchen Walsh, who clinched the gold with a time of 55.15 seconds. Australian competitor Alexandria Perkins claimed the bronze medal with a time of 56.75 seconds.

Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, Ruck started Canada’s medal tally with a third-place finish in the women’s 50m butterfly final. Later the same day, she contributed to Canada’s success by winning a bronze medal as a member of the Canadian women’s 4x100m medley relay team.
