A convict who fled from Milner Ridge Correctional Centre on Wednesday night has been captured and is now in police custody, authorities confirmed.
According to a press release issued Thursday morning, RCMP were informed that Justin Paul had escaped from the provincial detention facility located in the rural municipality of Lac du Bonnet, northeast of Winnipeg, at 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police reported that Paul was apprehended near the intersection of Highway 11 and Minnewawa Street W. in Lac du Bonnet around 11 a.m. on Thursday.
