Two young entrepreneurs in Windsor, Gavin Campeau and Alden Hartleib, have found a unique way to earn money during the summer months by offering to clean their neighbors’ garbage and compost bins. Dubbed the Riverside Bin Bros, aged 12 and 13, they go door-to-door providing a power washing service for bins, eliminating the unpleasant odors and leaving them clean and fresh.
Inspired by a TikTok video, Campeau and Hartleib decided to bring this business idea to their community. Beyond just making money, they see it as an opportunity to interact with and get to know their neighbors better. The Riverside community has shown appreciation for their hard work, with positive reviews being shared on social media platforms.
Parents of the young entrepreneurs have been supportive of their initiative, recognizing the value of teaching their children about entrepreneurship and hard work. They see it as a positive way for the kids to stay active and engaged during the summer break, getting them away from screens and fostering a sense of responsibility and independence.
The Riverside Bin Bros plan to continue their business even as the seasons change, aiming to offer their services until the arrival of snow. For those interested in their bin cleaning services, they can be contacted via email at riversidebinbros@gmail.com.
