Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, following its successful launch in the US last year. This new subscription service allows British customers to protect up to three eligible Apple devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan for £16.99 per month.
AppleCare One provides coverage for accidental damage, loss, or theft of devices. Customers can receive repairs or up to three replacement devices annually, depending on the nature of the claim. This service enhances the existing benefits of AppleCare+, including unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority access to Apple support.
By consolidating multiple products under one subscription, AppleCare One offers potential cost savings. Apple estimates that customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing individual AppleCare+ plans for each device.
One notable feature of AppleCare One is the flexibility to add eligible devices up to four years old, as long as they are in good condition. This extended window for device inclusion contrasts with the usual 60-day limit for purchasing AppleCare+ after buying a device.
Moreover, the subscription adapts seamlessly to device upgrades. When a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple, the old device is automatically removed from the plan, and the new device is added without additional steps.
Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, emphasized the customer-centric approach behind AppleCare One. He highlighted the simplicity, flexibility, and peace of mind that this unified protection plan offers to UK customers, ensuring that all their eligible products can be covered efficiently.
