Freeview’s future is becoming increasingly uncertain as more households transition to streaming services, potentially leading to millions abandoning traditional aerial setups. Adding to the competition, a new device has reentered the market, offering an expanded range of viewing options.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer operates on the Freely platform, enabling users to access live content online instead of relying on conventional broadcast signals. This user-friendly device quickly gained popularity and sold out shortly after its initial release this year. Despite initial scarcity, Manhattan has restocked the Aero 4K TV Streamer to meet the high demand it has been experiencing.
Additionally, the Aero device now comes with a new feature – integration with HBO Max, a platform that combines content from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros., and DC Comics, among others.
HBO Max offers a diverse selection of TV series like The Last of Us, Succession, and popular movies such as the complete Harry Potter collection and the Batman film series. This addition enhances the Aero’s entertainment options, although access to HBO Max requires a separate subscription starting at £4.99 per month.
For users seeking cost-effective options, the Aero still provides access to over 50 live TV channels, on-demand content, voice search, personalized recommendations, a comprehensive TV guide, and the ability to pause live TV, all through the Freely platform.
Manhattan’s COO, Alex Arbab-Zadeh, expressed confidence in meeting the demand for the Aero device and highlighted the value brought by HBO Max’s inclusion. He teased upcoming app additions throughout the year to further enhance the Aero’s offerings.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely is currently available for purchase at £89.99 from various retailers including Currys, Argos, and John Lewis.
