Donald Trump is forming a coalition of antagonists to weaken the United Nations, with Tony Blair lending support. Trump’s decision to establish this group can be linked to two key events. The first event was the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Barack Obama, whom Trump strongly dislikes. Seeking his own Nobel Prize motivated Trump to involve himself in resolving conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza.
Initially focused on Gaza’s peace and reconstruction, the Board of Peace expanded its goals due to a subsequent event. During a United Nations speech last September, technical glitches embarrassed Trump, fueling his belief in a conspiracy against him and leading to his desire to replace the UN.
Trump recently revealed the Board of Peace’s lineup, its global mandate, and his permanent chairmanship. Tony Blair’s involvement remains a mystery, possibly influenced by his connection to Jared Kushner and interest in Middle East conflict resolution. Despite UK’s reluctance to join, Blair actively participates in the initiative.
During the launch event, Trump introduced the Supervillains comprising his new alliance, including authoritarian leaders from various countries. Among the countries involved, only two are classified as “free” by Freedom House, with most having restrictions on political and civil liberties.
Although Israel agreed to join, Netanyahu’s absence at the ceremony highlights concerns over potential legal issues. Trump’s actions indicate a desire for perpetual leadership, potentially fulfilling a personal aspiration akin to becoming a “world king.”
