The US military is suspected of acquiring the weapon believed to be responsible for causing the mysterious illness known as Havana Syndrome through a covert transaction. The Department of Defence reportedly spent the past year testing a newly acquired device linked to unexplained health issues affecting American spies, diplomats, and soldiers, commonly referred to as “Havana Syndrome” or officially termed “anomalous health episodes.”
Although the exact cause of the controversial condition remains uncertain, prevailing theories suggest energy-based attacks using a specialized machine, procured by the agency overseeing ICE. Homeland Security Investigations, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, obtained the device at the end of the Biden administration for a significant sum, now under the purview of Pete Hegseth’s department, as reported by CNN.
Officials are still examining the device amidst government discussions on the existence of Havana Syndrome. The illness gained attention in 2016 following suspected cases in Cuba involving US and Canadian officials experiencing neurological symptoms like loud noises, vision problems, headaches, memory issues, lack of focus, and tinnitus. Initially, these symptoms were attributed to a weapon emitting high-frequency vibrations, with blame placed on foreign entities like Russia or Cuba.
Sources reveal that HSI believes it has acquired a similar weapon capable of emitting pulsed radio waves, partly of Russian origin and portable enough to be carried in a backpack. Testing is ongoing to determine its potential damage effects. Individuals who believe they were victims of Havana Syndrome see the acquisition of this device as validation of their claims, many of which were previously dismissed by various investigations.
Marc Polymeropoulos, a CIA officer who publicly shared his experience with Havana Syndrome in 2017, demanded a public apology from the US government if the device proves to be one of the causes. He emphasized the need to acknowledge and address the mistreatment of victims who have long suffered from the syndrome.
