To determine the rankings, they analyzed the prices of 5,393 package holidays from Jet2holidays and easyJet Holidays. The comparison was based on a seven-night stay, including flights, departing around August 2, accommodating two people in a shared room with various board options.
Costa Blanca, situated along Spain’s Mediterranean coast and renowned for its white-sand beaches and extensive resorts, emerged as the most budget-friendly choice for a packaged holiday next year. Referred to as the White Coast, it features popular resorts like Benidorm, Alicante, and Altea, each offering its distinct charm.
For a week-long stay in Costa Blanca during the peak of summer, Which? found an average cost of £864 per person for a packaged deal. This destination was the sole one identified to be priced under £900 for a week’s holiday in August.
The second most affordable packaged holiday was to Tuscany in central Italy, celebrated for its picturesque hills, Renaissance art, and iconic cities such as Florence, Siena, and Pisa. A week’s retreat in this stunning Italian region would amount to £929 per person, covering flights and accommodations.
In contrast, Sardinia in Italy would require approximately £1,508 per person for the same duration, indicating considerable savings of £579 by opting for Tuscany. The affordability of Tuscany is attributed to the diverse range of lodgings available, including self-catering, bed-and-breakfast, room-only, as well as all-inclusive and full-board packages.
Ranked as the third most cost-effective destination for a summer escape was the striking Agadir coast in Morocco, recognized for its expansive sandy beaches and popularity as a prominent resort area. With a variety of lodging options along the coast and a focus on beach activities, a stay here was priced at £946 per person.
According to the findings from Which?, six of the least expensive holiday destinations for 2026 were in Spain, with Tenerife, Fuerteventura, and Gran Canaria also making the list. Additionally, Zante in Greece, featuring crystal-clear waters, picturesque landscapes, and vibrant nightlife, secured a spot in the top 10.
