Sky has announced upcoming changes to its TV channel lineup, with two channels, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, set to cease broadcasting on February 24. However, Sky is introducing the return of Sky One, offering a range of entertainment programs including new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Additionally, familiar favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted will be available.
Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed excitement about the channel’s relaunch, highlighting that Sky One will feature a mix of new and returning content, including the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK. The channel will go live on channel 106 on February 24.
In addition to the channel changes, Sky is introducing a new plan called Ultimate TV for £24 per month, providing access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app. Subscribers to the plan will also enjoy over 130 premium channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime. Furthermore, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel within the TV guide, enabling seamless viewing of Hollywood hits without needing the Disney+ app.
