The company owning Revolution bars has established a deadline for bids next week as it has announced its decision to sell. Operating under The Revel Collective, the company runs 62 venues under various brands like Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs. The decision to put the company up for sale was made in October 2025 due to a decline in sales.
According to a report by Sky News, interested bidders must submit their offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale process. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective sites, although it is uncertain if they will submit a bid.
The Mirror has reached out to The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars, for a statement. The company had initiated a sales process in April 2024 but abandoned it after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. As part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court, around 36 sites were closed in 2024.
In an update in October 2025, company executives cited challenging economic conditions and government interventions as factors affecting their performance post-restructuring. Revenues decreased by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months up to September, primarily driven by a 10.5% decline in like-for-like bars business.
The company attributed the sales decline to cost-of-living pressures on their younger clientele and mentioned a rise in debts to £25.3 million from £22.1 million in June. Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express boss, assumed the role of Chairman of The Revel Collective in September last year following Keith Edelman’s retirement.
Johnson expressed his interest in acquiring established companies and niche businesses with unique characteristics to potentially lead the market.
