“LEGOLAND Germany Unveils Harry Potter-Themed Section”

A new section of a theme park inspired by the beloved Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling has been officially announced. Fans will have the opportunity to indulge in an immersive wizarding experience with specially themed accommodations for overnight stays.

LEGOLAND Deutschland in Germany has disclosed a partnership between Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences that will transform the renowned franchise into a LEGO-themed attraction.

Specifics about this exciting new feature are being kept confidential for now, with the park promising to reveal more details within the next year. Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences EVP Peter van Roden expressed enthusiasm, stating that the new destination will provide Harry Potter enthusiasts worldwide a chance to step into the familiar LEGO Harry Potter world they have cherished and physically immerse themselves in the wizarding realm like never before.

Since its debut in 1997, the Harry Potter series has expanded significantly, including eight films, three Fantastic Beasts movies, a stage production, and a video game.

While existing Harry Potter-themed areas are present at certain Universal resorts and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London, offering fans a glimpse into the film’s production, this will be the inaugural Wizarding World attraction in LEGO form. Additionally, while unofficial wizard-themed accommodations inspired by the franchise are available in various locations, this park will introduce the first officially themed lodging.

The announcement arrives amidst eager anticipation from Potterheads for the upcoming HBO series scheduled to premiere in 2027. The series, in production since 2025, is planned to span ten years across multiple seasons, each adapting one of J.K. Rowling’s books.

Harry Potter and LEGO have a longstanding relationship, with numerous themed brick sets released over the years. The initial Harry Potter LEGO set, featuring the Sorting Hat, was launched in 2001, while the massive Hogwarts set, comprising over 6,000 pieces, is currently priced at £409 on LEGO’s official website.

Situated in Günzburg, Germany, LEGOLAND park is conveniently located just over an hour away from Munich Airport. British fans can easily access the park with flights from the UK provided by airlines like British Airways, easyJet, and Lufthansa, taking under two hours. From the airport, a train to Günzburg followed by regular buses to the park entrance makes transportation hassle-free.

The new Harry Potter section will join a host of existing family-friendly attractions at the park, including LEGO NINJAGO World, MINILAND showcasing models of famous German and global landmarks, Knights’ Kingdom, and LEGO® X-TREME featuring thrilling rides and a rollercoaster.
