Another key improvement focuses on writing assistance, offering smart replies and composition tools to aid users in composing and refining emails effortlessly, including proofreading support. For example, when responding to queries such as cake versus pie for a family event, Suggested Replies can generate suitable responses matching users’ tone and style for quick approval.
Furthermore, users can access a new Proofread feature, available at an additional cost, offering advanced grammar and style suggestions to ensure polished emails before sending. While Help Me Write and Suggested Replies are free for all users, the Proofread tool is exclusive to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. The update also introduces AI-powered inbox filters to prioritize important messages and provide task and deadline overviews, aiming to combat email overload.
Additionally, a feature named “Catch me up” offers a snapshot of significant life updates within Gmail, such as upcoming reservations, deliveries, and event changes.
