In Brest, France, a 33-year-old woman with three children fathered by her own father is now in custody for assaulting a public service officer. The woman, who had suffered years of abuse herself, was previously under judicial supervision when her 58-year-old father was imprisoned. He had been living with her in a pseudo-couple relationship.
Upon investigation, the man admitted to sexually abusing his daughter, even administering antipsychotic drugs to her. Additionally, he confessed to coercing his 11-year-old son to engage in sexual acts with the woman, while exposing him to explicit material.
The disturbing situation came to light after the Finistère Departmental Council reported the abuse, leading to a police inquiry. Interviews with the children, an 11-year-old boy and his eight-year-old twin sisters, supported the allegations, uncovering a history of violence and deviance in the household.
The children were placed under social services’ care, with the boy granted 30 days of temporary incapacity leave and the girls eight days. Following her father’s arrest on November 26, 2025, the mother was charged with habitual violence and corrupting a minor, though initially released under judicial supervision.
Reports indicate the mother had previously exhibited violence towards public officials, having reportedly assaulted a court clerk during a juvenile court hearing two years ago. Her recent attack on an officer led to her detention in Brest prison, where her father is also being held.
The father is facing charges of aggravated incestuous rape, corruption of a minor, and habitual violence against minors. While both parents are considered innocent until proven guilty, the case has garnered significant attention due to the severity of the crimes and the abuse inflicted on multiple children within the same family.
Stéphane Kellenberger, the public prosecutor in Brest, stated that investigations are ongoing, emphasizing the presumption of innocence for the accused parties. Authorities are diligently examining the extent of the abuse and the context in which it transpired.
