“Fallon Sherrock Cleared in Table Incident at World Championship”

The PDC has decided not to penalize Fallon Sherrock for her actions during her recent match against Dave Chisnall in the World Championship. Sherrock playfully imitated the act of rocking the same drinks table that her former partner Cameron Menzies had previously damaged.

Menzies, who was left injured after expressing his frustration by hitting the table following a loss to Charlie Manby, had dated Sherrock for four years before their amicable split earlier this year. PDC chief executive Matt Porter has assured Menzies of support from the PDC and the PDPA if needed, emphasizing the importance of player well-being.

Both Sherrock and Menzies were eliminated in the first round of the championship. Sherrock struggled with her doubles, missing 20 out of 23 attempts, resulting in a 3-0 loss to Chisnall. On the other hand, Menzies, the 26th seed, led in his match against Manby but eventually succumbed to a 3-2 defeat. Menzies attributed his recent emotional struggles to the passing of his uncle Gary.

Chisnall, reflecting on his victory over Sherrock, acknowledged her strong performance and the closeness of the match. He will face Ricardo Pietreczko in the next round. Meanwhile, rising star Beau Greaves is set to kick off her World Championship journey against Daryl Gurney, with the winner advancing to play Callan Rydz in the second round.

As the championship progresses, fans can anticipate exciting matchups and fierce competition among the players. The event promises thrilling moments and surprises as the world’s best darts players vie for the prestigious title.
