“Ex-Girlfriend Pays Moving Tribute to Boxing Legend”

Ricky Hatton’s ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Claire, has shared a moving tribute honoring the ‘inspiring’ boxing legend, whose recent passing has deeply saddened her.

On Sunday, the news broke that Hatton had passed away at the age of 46, with Greater Manchester Police confirming the discovery of his body at his former world champion home. Authorities stated that his death was not deemed suspicious. Following this news, a wave of tributes poured in from the boxing community and beyond for Hatton, who was a highly popular and accomplished figure in British boxing history.

Claire, who was in a relationship with Hatton in 2023, expressed her grief through a heartfelt social media post, describing him as an inspiration and expressing gratitude for their time together. She shared a photo of them together, stating, “Heartbroken doesn’t even begin to describe the emotions myself and others are experiencing. You were a source of inspiration for many, and I feel fortunate to have had you in my life. Your absence will be deeply felt.”

In addition, Hatton’s brother, Matthew, posted nostalgic pictures of himself with his sibling on social media, captioning them with a message of love and a promise to reunite in the afterlife.

A poignant moment of silence was observed before the Manchester derby in honor of Hatton, a devoted Manchester City fan. City went on to win the match 3-0, with player Phil Foden dedicating the victory to Hatton. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expressed gratitude to Manchester United fans for their respectful tribute to Hatton, acknowledging the pain felt by Hatton’s family and emphasizing the unity among fans in honoring their shared passion for the sport and the beloved City icon.
